Hello Rebecca!
I’m so glad you found us here on planDisney! As Disney parks experts, we are here to help you with your questions as you plan your visit, and we’re always happy to see that someone has popped in with their first question!
Rebecca,
Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets are fully non-refundable, and Disney does not offer a refundable option for you to purchase. But not to worry, if you are unable to use your Theme Park Tickets, it doesn’t mean you are completely out of luck! If you need to reschedule your visit,
in most cases the value paid for a wholly unused ticket can be used toward a future visit, even if it is past the expiration date. If the dates you plan to reschedule are priced at a higher tier, you will need to pay the price difference, but you won’t lose the value paid for the ticket you already have!
This exact situation happened to my family when our planned trip had to be canceled due to the pandemic. While I did have to call Disneyland Ticketing to have our tickets adjusted, we were able to reschedule our visit for this fall. While it isn’t a fully refundable ticket, at least you know you won’t lose the value you paid if you have to reschedule!
Wishing you a magical visit to the
Disneyland Resort!- Kate
