    Can you purchase dining plans without staying on property

    Thanks for stopping by with your question! Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels can purchase the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, or the Disney Dining Plan only. All Guests staying off-site or at other resorts on Walt Disney World Resort property can't purchase the dining plan at this time. 

    The Disney Dining Plans are a great value for Guests who love dining at different restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort. It's a great way to try various restaurants, including character meals, signature dining, or a quick-service meal. I have been able to try out different character meals through the dining plan and signature restaurants over the years and use snack credits at kiosks in the World Showcase area of EPCOT. With the dining plan, Guests will receive:

    • Quick Service Dining Plan: two quick service meals one snack credit per night of stay, and one resort-refillable mug.
    • Disney Dining Plan: one quick service and one table service meal per night of stay, one snack credit per night of stay, and one resort-refillable mug.

    Some of my favorite restaurants that I think make the dining plan worth it include Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Garden Grill Restaurant, 1900 Park Fare, and Steakhouse 71. The first three are character meals, and all four have delicious meal options. If you don't want to stay on-site next year, a great way to pay for your meals is by purchasing Disney Gift Cards! Many big-box stores will throw sales on gift cards, and I have friends who have purchased them this way and combined them into one gift card to pay for meals. The Disney Visa Card from Chase also offers discounts at select dining locations throughout Walt Disney World.
