If I purchase a 5 day park hopper with Waterpark option, do I lose a park day if I go to the Waterpark? Meaning do I get 5 park days plus a day at the Waterpark? Or is it either or?

    Hi Leigh!

    Welcome back to planDisney!

When you purchase a 5-Day Park Hopper Plus Option ticket, you will get to enjoy 5 days at the theme parks and 5 extra experiences throughout your trip. So, nope! You will not lose a theme park day by going to the water park!

    Here’s how it works.

In the details of the ticket, you’ll see that your ticket is valid for a certain date range.  At this time, the 5-Day Park Hopper Plus Option ticket gives you 9 days to use your 5 theme park tickets and your 5 extra experience tickets.

You can choose if you want to use an extra experience on a day of its own or on the same day you visit a park. You can also use more than one extra experience ticket on the same day if that’s how your itinerary works out. So, you can go play a round of mini golf and then head to the water park, for example (in that case, you would use 2 of the 5 extra experience tickets).

It’s also good to note that you can do the extra experiences more than once. If the water park is what your family loves, you can go multiple times during your vacation (up to 5 visits in this case).

Of course, since this ticket type allows park hopping, you’ll be able to visit multiple theme parks per park day if you’d like to, too! This ticket type really maximizes your time at Disney World and gives you all sorts of flexibility to craft your vacation into what works best for your family.

Just make sure to read the details of the ticket, so you know exactly which extra experiences you can choose from. That way, you can decide what extra fun you’ll be having throughout your trip!
