Ahoy Bill,
Thanks for sailing over to planDisney with this question! I'd be happy to help ensure you are prepped and ready for your next
Disney Cruise Line adventure.
I usually like to disconnect as much as possible when I have the opportunity to enjoy a Disney Cruise Line sailing. There's something so relaxing about setting my phone to Airplane Mode as we wave goodbye to our embarkation port. However, I completely understand the need to maintain access to email and other internet applications while at sea. If you need to stay connected while enjoying the fresh ocean air you can purchase a
Connect@Sea package once onboard. Pricing will vary depending on the number of MB of data you'll need, and the fee will be charged to your Stateroom folio. The best part is you'll be able to connect multiple devices to the same Wi-Fi package. Your total usage will be tracked via a single meter and can be monitored on your browser window.
There are a number of
internet and phone services available to suit your needs while onboard but you'll be able to access the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App via the ship's
DCL-GUEST Wi-Fi with no additional purchase. There, you'll be able to chat with members of your traveling party, access the daily activity schedules, view deck plans, and even check the menus for your meals each day. One of my favorite features of the app is the ability to "heart" my favorite activities and get a reminder when they are about to begin!
I hope this helps get you tech ready for your next port of call! Come back and "sea" us again with any more planning questions you might have.
Bon Voyage!
Amy
