    How can you purchase annual passes!

    Hello Juliana!

    Welcome to planDisney! As a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder myself, I could go on all day about why I love being a Passholder, all the benefits, and why you should consider purchasing one. In the past, this would be the bulk of my answer to you. Currently, though, I have a different answer.

    The sales of new Walt Disney World Annual Passes have been temporarily paused, and no information has been released as to when new sales will resume. Current Walt Disney World Annual Passholders may renew their passes. Families who have current Annual Passes, who have a child turning 3 who will need an Annual Pass to accompany their Passholder family into the parks are also allowed to purchase. Former Annual Passholders who had an active Annual Pass expire during the park shutdown, or who chose to cancel their pass at that time, will have the option to purchase a new Annual Pass evaluated on a case-by-case basis. You must call ticketing who will take your information, and you will hear back in several weeks if you will be allowed to purchase a new Walt Disney World Annual Pass.

    If you don’t fall into one of those above categories, I am sorry to report a Walt Disney World Annual Pass isn’t an option for you at this time. If your trip isn't until next year you have a few choices. First, you could wait and see if Annual Pass sales resume in the next few months. The other option is to purchase Disney Theme Park Tickets for your vacation and make your Disney Park Pass Reservations now so that you have those required reservations booked. If sales of Walt Disney World Annual Passes resume before your visit, you can use the value paid for your Disney Theme Park Tickets toward the purchase of a new Walt Disney World Annual Pass. This is what I would do in that situation.

    Things are looking better every day, Juliana, and more resorts, restaurants, and Disney favorites are returning. I am hopeful we will see things continue to improve and the sales of Walt Disney World Annual Passes resume. I would keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog to stay up-to-date on the latest announcements.
