Hi Clark!
Welcome to planDisney! As a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder myself, I could go on and on about why you should join me and purchase an Annual Pass. You receive free theme park parking, discounts on food and merchandise, and more days of fun in the parks!
Unfortunately, the sales of new Walt Disney World Annual Passes have been on pause since the theme parks reopened last summer. Those of us that are current Passholders may renew our Annual Passes, and Passholder families that have a child turning 3 may purchase a new Annual Pass for that child so they can join their family in the parks. Former Annual Passholders whose passes expired during the shutdown, or who canceled their passes at that time may apply for an individual case review to see if they may purchase a new Annual Pass. If you fall into this last category you would need to
call ticketing who will take your application over the phone. It will then be several weeks to months for you to receive an answer to your request.
If you don’t fall into one of these groups, you will have to wait for sales to resume. If you have a trip you’d like to plan, I would go ahead and purchase standard
Disney Theme Park Tickets, and make your
Disney Park Pass Reservations. If Annual Passes return before your trip, you can apply the price paid for your tickets toward the purchase of a new Annual Pass.
I’m sorry that probably wasn’t the answer you were hoping for. There has been no announcement from Mickey as to when sales will resume. Reopening announcements are made on the
Disney Parks Blog, so I recommend following them on social media channels to stay up-to-date with the latest news.
Wishing you a Magical Day, Clark!
