Hi Beatrice, and welcome to planDisney! I’m excited to hear that you’ll be celebrating Halloween at the spookiest place on Earth next month. Get your pumpkins ready, because you’re in for the wildest ride in the wilderness!
While the Halloween activity schedule isn’t typically posted at
Fort Wilderness until mid to late October, we can take a look at last year’s schedule to give us an idea of what might be happening around the holiday. In 2024, sign-ups for Pumpkin Decorating opened on October 20th, and guests needed to drop off their pumpkins at the Settlement Area on October 30th at a specific time in the evening. Last year, you had to bring your own pumpkin since there weren’t any for sale at the campground. The activities and timing vary from year to year, so ask a Cast Member about the schedule when you check in.
Also, keep in mind that in recent years, access to Fort Wilderness is usually limited to guests staying at the campground in the days leading up to and including Halloween. So make sure that everyone in your party is on the reservation.
There’s plenty to keep you busy at Fort Wilderness, but there’s another fun spooky season activity over at EPCOT--
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit. To get started, you can purchase a game board at one of the gift shops, like
Disney Traders or
Creations Shop. It’s a lot of fun to hunt for all the Disney-themed pumpkins around the park and might even spark some ideas for carving your own pumpkin back at the campground!
I hope you have a BOO-tiful stay at Fort Wilderness next month. And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney!
