I will be pumping at the park away from my little one. Do the baby care centers have a fridge/freezer to keep breastmilk while we are at the park? Or will we have to bring a cooler with us?

    Hi Stephanie,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for stopping by with this important question. A trip to Walt Disney World Resort should be practically perfect in every way so I don't want you to worry for a single second about your upcoming plans without your precious little one in tow.

The Baby Care Centers located in each of the 4 theme parks offer a private and comfortable place for you to pump and enjoy a moment of quiet away from the excitement of attractions and entertainment. Though there is a kitchen prep area and microwave on site, unfortunately, they don't offer any refrigerators or freezers for guest food storage. I reached out to a Cast Member to see if they could offer any other suggestions but they reiterated that food and beverage storage for guests is not available at this time. I know that First Aid has storage options for guest medications requiring refrigeration, but I'm not sure if breastmilk would qualify for that accommodation. You can certainly inquire upon arrival, but I recommend having a backup plan in place.

I wanted to find some alternative options for you so I reached out to my team of fellow panelists. My pals Ashley F. and LeAndra L. both said they traveled with a small cooler and used frozen water bottles as ice packs. Loose ice and glass containers are not permitted in the parks, so just keep that in mind. LeAndra used a cooler that doubled as a bookbag, but Ashley had the extra magical suggestion of storing her cooler and ice packs in a locker while she enjoyed the parks. You'll find Locker Rentals at the entrances of each theme park so this would save you from carrying your liquid gold around all day.

My friend Jessica B. recently answered a question about medical supply storage at the resorts and shared some helpful tips. If you'll be staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can inquire about freezing your ice packs or water bottles with Bell Services overnight.

I'm sorry I couldn't offer a more convenient option for you, but I hope this helps you plan a magical visit, nonetheless. If we can offer answer any additional questions or offer further suggestions please come back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
