Johanna,Thanks for your question!Yes, as long as your cooler meets the size requirements (no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high), you can bring sandwiches, yogurts, and bagged ice in the cooler. The real restrictions to what can be inside is about not allowing loose ice, or dry ice. Your next step is to find a fun spot to have lunch within the parks.
