Welcome aboard, Karen! I love your question because it brings back memories of my son when he was four years old and he and took a mother-son cruise with Disney. Each night at dinner, my new reader would take a look at the children's menu and order very formally, "For the Chef's Entree Selection of the Day, I'd like the grilled pork tenderloin with brown rice pilaf and green beans. For dessert, I'd like a Mickey Bar with no sprinkles." I couldn't help but laugh every time, especially on Formal Night when he was all dressed up in his tiny little suit, ordering like an adult! Each time we sail now, we remind him of his formal ordering when he was little. So sweet!
The kids' menus are all fabulous. My kids love that they theme some of the menus to Disney characters. At
Tiana's Place on the Wonder, for example, the kids have Louis' Starters: Sweet Corn Chowder or a Garden Salad. Tiana's Main Event includes a choice of Lean Cut Sirloin of Beef, Mac n' Cheese, or a Mini Burger, all served with fresh veggies and either smashed potatoes or steak fries. There are always also Mickey Check Meals included on the menu too, which meet Disney nutrition guidelines for complete meals. At Tiana's, Prince Naveen's Pasta (whole wheat penne pasta with tomato sauce, mozzarella chess and broccoli florets) or Big Daddy's Baked Salmon with broccoli florets and jade rice are Mickey Check Meals.
If you do a search online for Disney Cruise Line children's menus, you'll see some guests have uploaded and shared recent menus. They are different for each
restaurant and really offer great selections. However, as my kids developed their tastes, they've now begun ordering from the adult menu too, so your kids are free to select from either! You're all in for a tasty experience on your cruise, Karen! Have fun!
