Hello Vinita! Welcome to planDisney!
Just a little while longer and you and your family will be heading to
The Most Magical Place on Earth! You couldn't have picked a better time to visit the four Theme Parks, two Water Parks, and the shopping, dining, and entertainment district of
Disney Springs! September crowds tend to be thinner, you'll get to experience the incredible EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival AND you have the option of purchasing special event Tickets to
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I hope you have time for it all!
Traveling around the more than 40 square miles of Walt Disney World Resort is easy (and even fun!) when you use Disney's complimentary transportation options. With buses, ferryboats, the Monorail, and
Disney Skyliner, you know that getting wherever you're going is sometimes half the fun.
Depending on where you're starting and where you're headed your travel times may change, but my rule of thumb is to plan for at least one hour to get from point A to point B around the Resort when using
Disney transportation. You'll find that a Skyliner ride from Disney's Hollywood Studios to
EPCOT only takes approximately 34 minutes, though it's also possible to take a
Friendship Boat or even walk! You can use your
My Disney Experience mobile app to find the best and easiest route for you and your family and see approximately how long each mode of transportation will take!
Simply open your My Disney Experience mobile app and click the bottom icon that is second from the left. This will pull up an interactive map of the entire Resort! Here you'll be able to zoom in and out, check wait times of your favorite attractions, find dining and restroom locations, and even get directions to and from areas all over the Resort.
If you click on any of the white boxes on the screen you'll see a "Get Directions" button. Click it to type in where you are and where you want to go. You'll immediately be given your transit options and directions - easy peasy!
I'm sure wherever you're headed for dinner is going to be delicious. Have you made reservations for the new
Space 220 Restaurant yet? I was able to eat here on my last visit to Walt Disney World and both the Cast Members and the fantastic view truly made the experience "out-of-this-world"!
Happy Hopping!
