What are the pros and cons of the Moderate resorts? I am planning a trip for May 2020 and I would like to choose from one of the moderate resorts for my family of four. (2 adults & 2 kids, 7 and 5 years old)

Hi Maggie, welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are planning a practically perfect vacation for your family!

So many exciting things are happening at the Walt Disney World Resort and your arrival next Spring will be the perfect timing! Disney’s Riviera Resort opens later this year, and both Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort have had an extensive amount of pixie dust going on, so they will be sparkling bright when you come!

Depending on your family’s taste, there are a variety of Resorts that will fit your needs. If you have a princess in the family, consider Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and the Royal Guest Rooms. Regal carpets and fixtures, along with magic headboards are truly enchanting!

If its the Pirate’s Life for you, then drop yer anchor at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! The beds are ships, and the hidden treasures are aplenty in the Pirate-themed rooms. You can also be the Hook to Pan as you set sail in the skies on the brand new Disney Skyliner, which offers a gondola ride from the Resort straight to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

Finally, if you are foodies, stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort where the brand new Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood will offer dishes with an avant-garde twist that is inspired by surrealist art. Those plates will be Instagram worthy!

    I wish you sweet dreams!
