Which of your on property resorts is beat for children under 5?

Hi Friend! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for submitting your question to us!

What is great about all of the resorts in the Disney Resorts Hotel collection is that there is a resort for every family! Each one is uniquely themed and has fun pools and activities that the entire family can enjoy during their stay. As a mom of a tween and a toddler under 5, I have stayed at several Disney Resorts over the years, and I'll share my favorites from each resort category:

    • Value Resort: Disney's Art of Animation Resort is the perfect resort for families with young Mouseketeers. There are fun statues throughout the resort to take pictures by, a playground, and the Big Blue Pool is the largest pool on property. You have the option of staying in a standard room that is themed to Disney's The Little Mermaid, or you will have the option of a Family Suite (highly recommend!), which is themed to Disney's The Lion King, and Pixar's Cars and Finding Nemo. These suites sleep up to six guests and feature two bathrooms, which makes getting ready in the morning a breeze. It is next to Disney Skyliner, making travel to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT easy (and fun!).
    • Moderate Resort: Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside is my favorite Disney Resort hotel in the Moderate category. This resort pays homage to the South, with fun Bayou-themed rooms, and beautiful white-columned buildings in the Magnolia Bend area. Ol'Man Island is perfect for a pool day, and there are a ton of activities here that Mouseketeers will love, including a playground that's perfect for burning all the energy! If you have Princesses, consider reserving a Royal Guest Room, where you will find hidden nods to several Disney Princesses! This resort is a boat ride away from Disney Springs too, which features dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences.
    • Deluxe Resort: Disney's Beach Club Resort is my favorite resort on property. This Deluxe resort's turn-of-the-century seaside theming is so beautiful, and the rooms accommodate families with littles nicely. It is just a 5-minute walk to EPCOT, and the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios is close by. Stormalong Bay is my favorite pool on property and features a lazy river, a sand-digging area for little ones, and a fun slide in the Shipwreck Pool area. Cape May Cafe features a delicious breakfast buffet where you can say hello to several characters, and Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is the place for ice cream!

When you are ready to make a reservation, you can call a Cast Member on the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line, and they will be happy to assist you! I hope all of this information was helpful, and if you have other planning questions, feel free to send them to me at any time. You've got a friend in me!

    Happy Planning!

    Frances
