Hi there, Kshama, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for submitting a question to us and congratulations on your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort! I'm glad that you're thinking ahead and considering those all important dining reservations for your trip. I'd be happy to go over that process for you.
Dining reservations may be made 60 days in advance and we are currently within the reservation window for your visit. You can make them online through the
Disneyland website or through the
Disneyland Mobile App on your phone (look for the Reserve Dining button within the "≡" Features Menu). I've filtered a
list of restaurants that will accept reservations for you to study. If you'd like to see all open reservations for a particular date or date range, just click on the blue "Check All Availability" button on the right. You'll also be able to do all this on the Mobile App if you'd like. If you have a particular restaurant in mind, go to their website and click on the "Check Available Days" button to look for a open reservation for your visit.
Once you select your party size and an open reservation time, the system will hold that spot for 10 minutes. You can customize any Add Ons (if available) and enter any Dietary or Accessibility Requests. On the next screen, you'll be prompted to enter your Contact Info and you'll have to enter a credit card in order to hold the reservation. In most cases, your card won't be charged to hold a reservation. Once you hit Confirm, you should receive an email confirmation and you're all set!
The Cancellation Policy can be found on the specific restaurant website. In most cases, your credit card won't be charged if you cancel at least 2 hours before your reservation time. Some special venues (like the Seasonal Menus at
Storytellers Cafe) require a one day cancellation, so please be aware of those.
It sounds like you're already aware of the
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability option, which is ideal when you're hungry and would like to find something on the day of your visit. Unfortunately, there is no dining reservation waitlist through Disney. Our best recommendation is usually to check back frequently to see if a spot has opened up that would work for you.
Kshama, I hope this information helped you to plan some super fun meals for your Holiday trip to the Disneyland Resort! Be on the lookout for the Disneyland Resort Holiday Foodie Guide to tempt you even more! Don't be a stranger and feel free to write back anytime. You're always welcome at planDisney and we'd love to hear from you!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
