We are in the process of planning our first trip with our two daughters ages 5 and 7 when we visit in June 2015. We are trying to decide between Port Orleans Riverside and the French Quarter. Any thoughts are appreciated. We will be there 10 nights.

Hi Amy! Port Orleans is my absolute fave moderate resort! We have stayed at both French Quarter and Riverside several times, and my favourite has changed as my daughter has gotten older (she's now 14). French Quarter was always my preferred, but Riverside now better meets our needs. Personally, I much prefer the main pool area for kids the ages of your girls at Port Orleans French Quarter. The sea serpent slide is perfect for their age, and the size of the pool is smaller than the main pool area at Riverside. French Quarter is also a smaller resort, which we love.

Guests of both resorts enjoy the relaxing boat ride to Downtown Disney, which is awesome after a day in the parks. And the best part, whichever resort you choose, you get to use the amenities of both resorts. As a guest of either French Quarter or Riverside, you can go back and forth, use the pools at either and all both have to offer. Simply walk over, or hop on a boat or the bus.

Hope this helps Amy. Write back with any other questions as you plan your summer Disney vacation!
