Hi Allison,
I'm thrilled to hear that you'll be experiencing your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort as a family this fall! You are going to have SO MUCH FUN and enjoy moments with your princesses that you'll cherish forever!
I, too, happen to have daughters
the same age as you, so I asked my girls to share some of their very
favorite parts about our Disney adventures. They were full of great suggestions for you! First, they suggested spending time with the princesses and other favorite characters. My family loves
character dining, as it's the perfect opportunity to enjoy delicious meals while interacting with the Disney friends we love so dearly. Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and 1900 Park Fare are all great choices for dining with Disney royalty. You might also want to consider letting your girls transform into true princesses themselves at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It's such a special experience, and one you'll all surely love! Of course, my girls also love the adventure of a Disney vacation and said that you'll want to be sure to enjoy the
attractions. My older kids love some of the really thrilling attractions like Space Mountain, Rock 'n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. My tween girls say that their must-do attractions are Slinky Dog Dash, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Toy Story Mania!, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Test Track, Soarin' Around the World, and Avatar Flight of Passage.
Parades and fireworks take the magic to a whole new level and are always other must-do experiences for us, so we'd encourage you to find a spot to enjoy them about 45 minutes before they're set to begin. We also can't forget the food. My girls suggested stopping by
Sleepy Hollow for the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich,
Gaston's Tavern for a refreshing LeFou's Brew, and eating around the world at Epcot. Their favorite Epcot dining location (and mine, too!) is
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. Mmm...SO yummy!
With a vacation in mid-November, we'd also HIGHLY suggest attending
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It's our very favorite special event of the entire year, and my entire family loves having access to our favorite attractions with smaller crowds, tasting all of the different complimentary treats, and getting in the holiday spirit with the festive shows, fireworks, and parade.
Thanks so much for visiting us a the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Allison, and please come see us again if we can help with anything else. I hope that you and your family have a truly magical vacation this November!
Missy
