    Hello! I am in the process in planning our family's first Disney World trip! We are looking at coming in November. If by chance there is free DDP when we are there and we stay in the Value Resorts, can we pay to upgrade the DDP?

    Hey, Amy! The Special Offer you mentioned is truly a magical one! When it has been offered in the past, guests who stay at a Disney Value Resort and purchase a 2-Day or more Park Hopper theme park ticket are able to add the Quick Service Disney Dining Plan for free. Think of all the treats that Disney is known for that you will be able to try at no cost! Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bars, Dole Whips, Tonga Toast ... all for free! Wow!

    If this Special Offer is announced for this fall and includes your travel dates, I can certainly understand how you may want to upgrade it to include a Disney Dining Plan that offers Table Service meals. That plan would give you access to a dinner feast with the Beast at Be Our Guest Restaurant or an enchanted meal with Disney Princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table. If you are given the opportunity to book a Free Dining Special Offer, you will be given the option during the booking process to upgrade the dining plan included in your Magic Your Way Package. You will see a button that cues you to Select Dining Plan. Press that one and it will show the included Quick Service Dining Plan, but also will show the total cost for upgrading to another plan. Note that the additional cost of a higher dining plan will have given you credit for the base cost of the Quick Service Dining Plan. You will simply be paying for the difference in price between the two plans.
