Ahoy there, Alexa! Welcome!
Well, this situation certainly puts you into some rough seas, but we can navigate this together and see if we can get you shipshape and ready to sail.
Disney Cruise Line offers staterooms that can accommodate as many as 4-5 guests, so putting him into a stateroom where there is room for him wouldn't be a problem. The tricky part is that even though you may have room in your stateroom, the
ship itself can still reach capacity. I have had this happen once, and while it ultimately all worked out, it was a bit stressful.
You have two options, Alexa. One, you can add him to
your reservation now, assuming there is room and your particular stateroom is designed to accommodate a third guest. The consequence of that is that there may be a
cancelation fee involved if he is unable to get the time off for the holiday, and you ultimately have to cancel his trip. The second option is to wait and see. You can
check availability on your cruise to determine whether or not the ship seems to be filling up. If there are still staterooms available, then you are probably okay to wait and add Dad a little closer to the sail date.
I don't know which specific cruise you are taking, but in a quick search for voyages leaving on your date, it looks like for now, you're okay. Just log in periodically and check.
I hope this helps as you plan your trip, Alexa!
