    I am a private Duty Nurse and am lucky enough to have been asked to accompany my client on her Wish trip. How does the transportation work? What if my client needs to leave the park before the rest of her family? Will they have to leave to drive us back

    What a special path you have chosen. I'm sure that your client and her family are grateful for your care.

    The transportation situation will vary depending on where you're staying. If you are staying on property at a Walt Disney World hotel, then there is ample free transportation there from all the Disney theme parks via bus, boat, or monorail. The Disney transportation system is equipped to handle strollers, wheelchairs, ECVs or other mobility devices. If you and your client need to leave the park at a different time from her family, either subgroup could take a personal vehicle or the Disney transportation system. 

    If you're staying at an off site hotel, your party would likely be best served by having a personal vehicle. Rental cars are readily available in Orlando from all major agencies. If one group takes the car, the other would be welcome to take a taxi back to the hotel. Taxi stands can be found near the front of the parking lots for the Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Disney's Hollywood Studios theme parks. The Magic Kingdom taxi stand is at the Transportation and Ticket Center, which is functionally the Magic Kingdom parking lot.

    If you are staying at the Give Kids the World Village, then they will be able to provide you the best transportation advice for their location directly. Their contact info is on their website at GKTW.org.
