How much are the private cabanas on Castaway Cay?

    Ahoy, Cynthia!

Thank you for sending in another question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We hope our answers are helping to make the planning for your Very Merrytime Cruise a piece of cake.

It sounds like you are already dreaming of your day on Disney Castaway Cay! You should be because it certainly is a slice of Bahamian paradise. It's my favorite port of call offered by Disney Cruise Line, and it's always a highlight of my vacations with Mickey. On this beautiful island, you'll find 24 cabanas-20 on the Family Beach and four on Serenity Bay, the adult-only area. Pricing varies due to the season (always subject to change), but a November rental price is currently $599.00 plus tax for a Family Beach Cabana (up to six Guests), $949.00 plus tax for the Grand Family Cabana (up to 10 Guests) and $399.00 plus tax for a Serenity Bay Cabana (up to four Guests). Ten total Guests can be included in the rental for the Family Beach and Serenity Bay Cabanas and a total of 16 for the Grand Family Cabana, but an additional $50.00 per person is required over the numbers I mentioned above.

Cynthia, there is a lot included in the price of the cabanas. Each offers a serene place to relax with umbrellas, lounge/beach chairs, and a hammock. There's a shower to rinse off the sand, and one-hour bike rentals are included along with snorkel gear, floats, and beach toys. When you need a quick bite, snacks are provided as well as drinks and water. Sunscreen and towels round off the list, and there's a Crew Member to help you with anything else you might need during your stay! All of this, along with a gorgeous beach area, makes these cabanas quite popular. They are typically reserved very quickly once booking windows become available. But with that said, Guests do change their minds! I encourage you to check the Disney Cruise Line website often and also speak with the Port Adventure Desk when you embark. I know in the past, they have had waitlists for those that inquire once onboard. It never hurts to ask!

Thank you again for cruising by! If you think of anything else, please let us know.
