Ahoy, Marianne!
Thank you for cruising by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are about to embark on an enchanted journey with Captain Mickey and his seafaring crew. I know they can't wait to welcome you aboard!
Marianne, one reason my family continues to vacation with Disney Cruise Line is the amazing youth programming. My Mouseketeers have experienced every youth space over the last 11 yEARs and have loved every minute! Cruisers three and over can check-in for secured programming at the
Oceaneer Club and
Oceaneer Lab beginning early in the morning until late in the evening. Since these areas are available for the majority of the day, private babysitting is not offered onboard at this time. If your little one is under the age of three, you'll want to reserve time at
"it's a small world" nursery! Reservations are first-come, first-served once your Online Check-in window opens up, and a nominal hourly fee will apply. My son experienced the nursery on our first cruise and had a ball. He played and napped while we enjoyed some of the adult areas on the ship.
When my kiddos were younger, I worried about them being tired when they visited the Oceaneer Club and Lab at night because they went to bed fairly early at home. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how well they did. If I knew my husband and I were going to be out late, I made sure we had a couple hours of quiet time in the stateroom during the day. This always seemed to help!
I'm so glad you stopped by, Marianne. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your upcoming voyage with Disney Cruise Line!
