My DH is a principal, so we are limited on vacation times. Would you choose Dec 20-27, 2008, or April 11-18, 2009? I know both will be busy, but which would be busier? This will be our 2nd trip, our kids will be 6, 5, and 2. Thanks - you guys are great!

The Christmas holiday week and spring break are both busy, but Christmas will have much larger crowds. The reason for this is that while different school districts throughout the country have different spring schedules, everyone has Christmas week off.

There are some advantages to WDW travel at Christmas: cooler weather, special holiday events, lovely decorations, etc. But if your main goal is crowd avoidance, I would definitely stay away from the end of December.

    Hope this helps.
