Hi Barbara! Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
This is a great time of year to visit
EPCOT! The
2020 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival has just begun, with amazing gardens and topiary displays,
delicious dishes from the Outdoor Kitchens, and the
Garden Rocks Concert Series.
As a Florida resident, you have access to some amazing
special offers on tickets. Although I am not aware of any current specials on 1-Day Theme Park Tickets for
Florida residents, you might be interested in a
3 or 4-Day Discover Disney Ticket. This ticket can be used on non-consecutive days through June 30, 2020, and can be upgraded to include the Park Hopper Option. With everything that is
new at Walt Disney World Resort this year, you may wish to visit more than one day!
As far as a military discount, I checked with my friend and fellow
panelist Kristen, who is an Air Force wife and an expert on using military Disney Tickets. She shared with me that due to a new act that was recently passed, military veterans with an updated VHIC (Veterans Health Identification Card) may be able to purchase slightly discounted 1-Day Tickets from the nearest Military Ticket Sales Office or
Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort. This discount is not available at Walt Disney World ticket windows. Kristen also recommends checking the gate
price of a 1-Day Theme Park Ticket for the date you plan to visit; because of the
date-based ticket pricing, the military ticket may not necessarily offer a discount off the gate price, and for some dates, may actually cost more.
I hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Enjoy!
Anne Marie
