Disneyland Resort tickets use a Tier system. More popular days may fall into a higher Tier, while quieter days may be placed in a lower one. Based on the date you mentioned for your arrival, April 2 is currently considered a Tier 4 day. The Tier system is a helpful way to see how pricing shifts throughout the calendar. To give Guests more flexibility, 1 Day tickets are assigned to different Tiers depending on the specific date you plan to visit.
The wonderful news is that a Tier 4 ticket gives you lots of flexibility, should your plans change! You can use it on any Tier 4 date, as well as any lower Tier date such as Tiers 0, 1, 2, or 3. For more details on how the Tiers work and to check blockout dates, you can visit the

Another important step in planning your visit is to make sure there are
Theme Park Reservations available for the day you would like to go. All Guests must have a valid Park Reservation to enter the theme parks.
Children’s tickets are valid for kiddos ages 3 to 9. Anyone 10 and older falls under the adult ticket prices. At this time, based on the currently assigned Tier, there are 1 Day 2 Park tickets, known as Park Hopper Tickets, at $264 per ticket. There are also available Park Reservations, at the time of this writing. With a Park Hopper Ticket, you would select your starting park, either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure, and then after 11:00 A.M., you can hop over to the other park as long as capacity allows. As long as each park still has room for Guests, you will be able to switch back and forth throughout your day.
Yolanda, I also recommend purchasing the separately priced
Lightning Lane Multi Pass add-on so you can make the most of your visit with quicker access to select attractions. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass includes unlimited digital downloads of all Disney PhotoPass pictures. This is a wonderful perk because it lets you capture the magic all day long with talented Disney PhotoPass Photographers. These photos are some of my favorite souvenirs, since they last forever and help me remember the moments we loved most.
