Is there a character breakfast we can go to outside the park?

Hey there, hi there, Kimella! I just have to say... I love your name! I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney! Thank you for bringing us this wonderful character dining question, because, Gwarsh!, starting the day with a fun and delicious Character Breakfast is always a brilliant idea!

I have great news for you!  You have three Character Breakfast adventures outside the theme parks to choose from!

Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel
Storytellers Café at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel

Advanced dining reservations open 60 days before your visit, though some locations take a tiny bit longer to appear. If you don’t see availability right away, just keep checking, a little pixie-dusted persistence goes a long way! Once you enter your date and party size, you can filter the results to only show Character Dining, which makes everything smooth and quick to navigate to what you are looking for! A quick tip is to look at a date range if you have some flexibility in your plans. If you miss out on a reservation, don’t lose hope! Guests plans often change, and I would keep checking as you get closer to your visit. Character dining can be cancelled up to one day before the reservation date, and I have been able to snag a last minute reservation sometimes by continuing to check the Disneyland Mobile app for availability.

I see you had a few other questions that I am happy to be able to answer for you! It sounds like you’ll be visiting just before the Holidays at Disneyland Resort officially kick off. The official kick off date is November 18, 2026. You might still spot a touch of Halloween magic hanging on or perhaps notice the early sparkle of the Holiday transformation beginning. It’s such a fun “in-between” time to visit, and you just might get the best of both worlds (though, most likely décor will be more Holiday themed than Halloween by that time)! You should be able to enjoy the overlay on Haunted Mansion Holiday as it is scheduled to make its return for the Halloween Time celebrations and stick around through the Holidays. Depending on how long your visit is, what you can expect entertainment wise is the return of the Guest favorite A Christmas Fantasy Parade debuting on November 18th, on the official Holiday kick off day, as well as the "Believe...In Holiday Magic" Fireworks Spectacular. Before that day, there will most likely not be a scheduled parade, and during the 70th Celebration, Disneyland Park does feature the Wondrous Journeys firework show, but the 70th Celebration is schedule to conclude in August, and I am not sure if it will be replaced with something different. Firework schedules are always subject to change, and weather dependent.

Your visit will be here before you know it, and you are gearing up for a practically perfect in every way kind of trip!

Kimella, if any more questions pop up as you count down to your November adventure to the Happiest Place On Earth, please swing back by! We’re always here and always happy to help!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Kimberly
