Hey there, hi there, Britt!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney where you're always as welcome as can be. I'm happy to help a fellow Mouseketeer today. It looks like your
Walt Disney World adventure begins tomorrow, so let's get going!
Walt Disney World
theme park tickets are valid beginning on a selected start date, and all days must be redeemed within a specific use period, or else they
expire. A 5-day ticket expires 8 days after the chosen start date. For example, a 5-day ticket with a March 1 start date can be used any 5 days between March 1 and March 8. After March 8, any unused days expire and cannot be used on a future trip. The only exception is the
Disney Military Salute Ticket, whose days do not need to be used consecutively. If you have one of these tickets, you can visit any 5 days during its validity period.
If you have several Walt Disney World visits planned in twelve months, you must purchase multiple sets of theme park tickets. I know the 2 and 3-day tickets are pricier per day than the 5 and 6-day tickets, so when my family travels twice in one year, we like to plan one trip where we visit the theme parks and another that is focused on spending time at our
resort,
Disney Springs, and the
Disney Water Parks. If you could do a third or fourth mini-vacation, consider an
Annual Pass. Annual Passholders are also eligible for shopping, dining, and hotel discounts, so the Disney math might work out for you! You can upgrade an unused or partially used ticket that has yet to expire to an Annual Pass at a ticket window, Guest Relations, or
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.
I hope this has been helpful, Britt. Best wishes for a magical vacation next week, and if there's anything we at
planDisney can do to make future visits even more memorable, please come see us again.
Cheers,
Betsy
