Hey Howdy Hey Erin and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you so much for stopping by with your question about changing the dates of your theme park tickets. I will be happy to give you more information on the process.
You have it right so far Erin, theme park tickets are nonrefundable. In the case that tickets were purchased and unable to be used for the validation dates, Disney will honor the price that was paid for the tickets towards the purchase of new tickets in most cases. If you need to change the timeframe of when you plan on using your tickets, you may be able to do this yourself through your
My Disney Experience account.
Once you log on, go to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and look for the heading "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" which you will click on. Once there, you should see all of the theme park tickets you have linked to your account and those linked to other party members. You should also see a blue hyperlink that says "Modify Tickets". After you click on the hyperlink, you will follow the prompts to update your tickets to new dates. Just so you are aware, ticket prices are date-based, which means the price of tickets can change depending on the day and time of the year. If the price you paid for your tickets is less than the price for your new dates, you will be responsible for the difference.
Depending on how old your previous tickets are, this might change the process a bit. All tickets come with an expiration date in which after this time, you might see your tickets disappear from your My Disney Experience account. If you follow the steps above and do not see your tickets, this may be the case. If you
call Disney and explain your situation, a Cast Member will be able to help you recover the tickets and upgrade them to your new dates of use as you would need them.
Now the dates you will be heading to the Walt Disney World Resort are going to be some exciting times. One of the big celebrations you are going to want to check out is the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. This celebration of the season will have special topiaries throughout the park, spectacular flower and garden arrangements as well as some delicious food and drink offerings with seasonal flavors available at various locations. Make sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates on the top recommendations for food and drink experiences during this festival.
Best of luck as you get your tickets updated to your new travel dates. I hope you have a Magical time on your upcoming trip. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical day,
Nick
