Welcome Back to planDisney, it is such a delight to see returning Guests continuing to reach out to us about guidance for their Walt Disney World vacations.
As Walt Disney World continues to monitor and maintain the health and safety of Guests and Cast Members, many conveniences from the past, such as
online check-in, have been enhanced to accommodate a contactless experience. Guests are able to complete, their entire check-in process, receive notifications and updates about their room number and location, unlock their room as well as more fun magical discoveries all through their handy-dandy My Disney Experience profile and
mobile app.
From what I gather you have used My Disney Experience for online check-in before and I am sorry to hEAR this time your request was not an option. This can be for a number of reasons. You can always edit your requests, as your arrival date comes closer, to see if the top-floor becomes a possibility. Another option is to give the Disney Resort Collection hotel a call and maybe a Cast Member can spread some pixie dust your way or enlighten you as to why it may not be an option.
