    With the previous version of the dining plan, we were able to replace the included drink with a snack, which was handy when eating at our hotel since we had our refillable mugs. Will this still be possible when the dining plan returns in 2024?

    Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited about the return of the Disney Dining Plan next year. It can be such a convenience having all the meals pre-paid for my family. 

    I have some partial good news for you! In the details for both the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan, each guest can have each day either a snack or a drink. However, the meals themselves won't be eligible for exchanges. That means that one of your snack credits can be exchanged for a nonalcoholic beverage but within a meal, there may not be a guarantee of the beverage being exchanged for a snack. This is subject to change once the Dining Plan begins on January 9, 2024, and may even be dependent on the Cast Member you speak with at the register. 

    My favorite use of the Dining Plan is for a Character Dining experience. The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park is a delicious buffet with Winnie the Pooh and friends that is only one Table-Service dining credit. It is a great value with all the food choices and fun characters. Also, just in case you didn't know you can track all your remaining meals and snack credits in the My Disney Experience Mobile App! Now you won't miss out on anything!
