We are pretty sure we want to stay either at a hotel that can use the monorail or a hotel that can use the gondolas. Thinking convenience vs. price. Which hotel would you recommend for both of those types? Thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, William! I am so happy you stopped by.

When you are staying on-site at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel you will have access to tons of amazing transportation options. While some resorts are located on the monorail, others have access to the all-new Disney Skyliner and many more have boat transportation as well! When all of these modes of transportation are combined with the highly sophisticated bus system, you will get you to where you need to go quicker than you can say Bippity Boppity Boo!

William, if you are going to be staying primarily at the Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, and a Deluxe Resort is in your budget, one of the three monorail resorts would be perfect for your upcoming vacation. The monorail resorts include Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort. While nothing can beat the close proximity of Disney's Contemporary Resort to the Magic Kingdom, my family has found that for us, nothing beats the ambiance and amazingly delicious food options of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Additionally, by staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort, you are just a quick walk away from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, giving you even more amazing dining and recreation options.

If you are planning on spending more time at Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, and are interested in resorts in other categories, a Walt Disney World Resort hotel on the Disney Skyliner may be the best fit for you.  The only Deluxe Resort on the Disney Skyliner is Disney's Riviera Resort. This upscale resort has all the charm of a Mediterranean boutique hotel, combined with plenty of Walt Disney memorabilia, not to mention some fantastic dining options including the rooftop Signature Restaurant, Topolino's Terrace.

My family's favorite moderate resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, has recently been fully renovated and is located on the Disney Skyliner as well. The island vibes, combined with plenty of pools and recreation options will transport you to another world, even if you never step foot in a theme park. In terms of value resorts located on the Disney Skyliner, Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort both have convenient access to the Disney Skyliner. Between the two value resorts, I would recommend Disney's Pop Century if you are traveling with teens due to the modern, fun theme and room layout. Disney's Art of Animation is perfect for kids and large parties as they offer family suites with two bathrooms and three dedicated sleeping spaces.

I hope that this helped, William. No matter where you choose to stay, I just know that you will have a magical vacation. Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help in your planning adventure!

    See you real soon!
