Pretty excited about our first Disney Cruise on Magic this January. We will be travelling with a group and we are interested in a cabana at CC. With 6 adults and 3 kids (2 yr,1yr,8mo) will we have to pay an extra $50 for the kids or just the base $549? Tx

Welcome aboard, Jeff! It's so fun to set sail with Disney Cruise Line but even more exciting when you can bring along a group of family or friends, so I'm glad to hear you'll have others to share this experience with!

Each Private Family Cabana at Castaway Cay is a wonderful little oasis within Disney's private island. These can be reserved during your online check-in process. Since this is your first cruise with Disney, you will be able to log in to begin online check-in at 75 days prior to setting sail. Now, keep in mind that guests who have sailed with Disney before are able to log in to begin these reservations 90 or more days in advance, and those cabanas are a hot ticket, so they sell out quickly. I recommend you log on as soon as you're able at 75 days prior to have the best chance of snagging a cabana.

The good news for your group is that the cabanas cast $549 for up to six people. Additional guests (up to 10) are allowed for an additional $50 per person, however that only applies to guests ages three and older. As long as your kids are under three at the time of sailing, they won't cost anything extra!

Good luck reserving a private cabana, Jeff. But, please know that even if you log on to find out they are sold out, there is still plenty of space on Castaway Cay to set up base camp and enjoy the day. My family hasn't rented a cabana before because we are always on the go. We do enjoy relaxing on the beach in the shade, but have found there are plenty of umbrellas and chairs available that we've never felt crowded. So, even if you can't get a cabana, I promise you'll have a really wonderful visit to Disney's private island no matter what!

    Happy planning, Jeff!
