I have 2 preteen DD's and I would like to treat them to a character meal. Which ones are good for preteens? And are there other meals than breakfast with characters? Also while we were in DL we went to one with an all you can eat buffet is there one in DW?

    Hi Jill,

I have 2 preteen daughters too, they're 10 and 12, they still love the character meals and when I asked them what their favourites were this was their top 3.

1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort, this is an all you can eat buffet and we particularly liked the desserts here, we dined at dinner time and the characters we saw were Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella, these are subject to change though. The reason my girls loved this meal so much is because the characters were fantastic, my girls were laughing so much at the Ugly Step-Sisters! Breakfast is also available here but with different characters.

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort was their second choice, again it's an all you can eat buffet at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The characters do vary but we saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. This is a very interactive meal and involves lots of napkin twirling fun.

Their third favourite was breakfast at 'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort, the food here is served family style meaning it's brought to your table but you can ask for as much as you want. It's typical breakfast food of sausage, bacon, eggs etc and the juice here is just delicious. The characters tend to be Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. My girls adore Stitch so that's why they love this meal.

For a full list of the character meals available go to www.allears.net click on dining then on the left hand side is a link that says character meals.

Hope you have a fantastic trip and a great meal,

    Jo
