Do you have to get the preset menu at California Grill? We made reservations for 7:40, but I noticed we can’t do apps and dessert with drinks. We’re looking for a place to watch the fireworks outside of the park! Thank you in advance!

    Hi there, Dominique!

Dominique, at this time if you sit down for dinner at the California Grill, you must purchase the pre-fixe menu. Now you do have a couple of options if you are just looking for something a bit lighter. Your first option is to be to see if there is any availability at the lounge. You should note that this possibility becomes pretty slim in the evening hours as the restaurant gets a bit more crowded in anticipation of the show.

Your second option is to book Celebration at the Top. This fabulous party includes a wide array of appetizers and desserts, along with some specialty beverages. It takes place in the Sonoma room of the California Grill so you will have the same spectacular view as the California Grill.

Another one of my favorite places to watch the fireworks is the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! To watch the show here, book an earlier dinner at either 'Ohana or Kona Cafe. Once you are done with your meal, head on out to the beach in time to catch the show!

I hope that this gave you some ideas, Dominique.

    Enjoy Disney Enchantment!
