I have prescription medicine that i need during the day, how does this work? do i have to bring my whole supply so I have the prescription bottle or can i just bring what i need for the day without the bottle?

There is no particular protocol for bringing medication into the parks. I personally have brought both prescription and over-the-counter medicines into the parks on numerous occasions, both in liquid and pill form, both in the original bottle and in a different container, and never had any issues at all.

The only situations where you might face scrutiny with medications are if:

    - Your medication is in a glass bottle. The Walt Disney World website states that glass bottles, other than baby food jars and perfume bottles, are not allowed to be brought into the parks. However, exceptions will also be made for prescription medication. Simply explain your situation to the guard at the security check-in.

    - Similarly, guests whose medications require them to have needles or other sharps, should declare this to the security guard.

The first-aid stations at the parks can help guests with refrigeration or storage of medication if this is necessary.

Good luck and have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World.
