I have pre-purchased the Memory Maker for a December 2019 visit. I will be at the Magic Kingdom for one day in July, and do not want those photos from my one-day trip to activate my Memory Maker. How can I assign the Memory Maker to my December trip?

Hey, Tracy! I am so glad you were able to add Memory Maker to your upcoming family trip. We usually come home with a couple of hundred Disney PhotoPass pictures from our family trips, so I am sure you will get plenty of use out of your Memory Maker! Be sure to look for special shots and interesting little spots the Disney PhotoPass photographers can snap your memories. I have two really great ones to share with you. Around dusk, a spot is set up near Rapunzel's tower at the Tangled-themed restrooms in Magic Kingdom Park's Fantasyland. There, the photographer will have one of Rapunzel's lanterns for you to use as a prop in your photos. This makes the most gorgeous pictures! The next spot is found in the gardens just in front of The Plaza Restaurant, also in Magic Kingdom Park. The photographer will position you and tell you to look at the top of the restaurant's building. A camera will take a close-up shot of your family, zoom out to show a wide view of the park, and then zoom back to you. It is such a magical shot!

Okay, let's talk Memory Maker activation. This vacation enhancement is activated by downloading one of your Disney PhotoPass pictures. As long as you do not download one of your July pictures, then Memory Maker will remain in your My Disney Experience account just waiting to be used. You are welcome to view any pictures from July (note that they will have a watermark across them until Memory Maker has been activated), so just make sure to not click any buttons to download the picture or activate Memory Maker. If you do decide that you would like to download some pictures from that one day trip, then there will be an option when you open one of the pictures to "download all photos from this day." This is known as the Memory Maker One-Day. You can activate this enhancement without using your full Memory Maker product. If you would prefer to have a Cast Member set up Memory Maker One-Day, just stop by one of the Disney PhotoPass Centers for assistance.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
