If we pre-purchase tickets for a particular day (i.e. Christmas Day) are we guaranteed entrance to the park on that day? Is there a dedicated "ticket holder" line vs. a line to purchase tickets?

Hi, Krysta!  The passes at Walt Disney World aren't sold for a specific day, so you can't pre-purchase tickets to be used on a certain day.  A one day pass is good for any day that you wish to use it, and not dated to be used on any specific day.

There are not dedicated ticket holder lines - although if you have purchased a pass, you move on to the turnstiles.  You do not have to wait at a ticket window if you've already purchased your theme park tickets.

On busy days, such as Christmas Day, when it is possible for the theme parks (especially the Magic Kingdom) to fill to capacity, my best advice is to arrive early and plan to stay until you are done for the day.  If you have a dinner reservation, stay through the reservation.  Don't leave until you have done everything you plan to do that day, because you cannot be guaranteed reentry if you leave if the park is full.

Have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World!
