    Can you prepurchase refillable mugs ahead of time to be in your room? I would like to buy them for my son for his room.

    Hi, Cheryl!  Unfortunately, you cannot have gifts or items left in your room prior to check in.  Your room assignment may not be made until you check in, so they can't really leave anything in the room when you get there.  The refillable mugs are purchased in the food court or quick service location at your resort, so you can certainly check in, then hop right in to pick it up - even if your room has not yet been assigned.

    I hope this helps a little with your planning!  If you want it to be a surprise, you can maybe pick one up and when your room is ready, sneak it out while your son is unpacking.  I've even hidden stuff in my kids luggage, and sent them off to unpack their bags.  What great surprise faces I've captured when they think the "magic of Disney" has somehow managed to put a souvenir in their bags before the vacation has even officially begun!
