When you have to "pre-pay" for a meal (such as CRT, etc), do they actually charge your card or is it just used to "hold your spot" in case you don't show? We are getting a dining plan and plan to use credits for these meals. Just wonder

    Hi Beth Ann,

There are some Disney dining locations that do charge your card at the time the reservation is made, for example Mickey's Backyard BBQ and Hoop De Do Revue. Other locations use your credit card simply as a guarantee and do not charge it unless you do not show or cancel the reservation in the allotted time, for example the Fantasmic dinner package. The best thing to do is ask the DIsney Cast Member when you make the reservation if the card is being used as a guarantee or will be charged at this time.

    Hope this helps!
