Lightning Lane Premier Pass is a great way to experience all of the most popular attractions at the Disneyland Resort with the most flexibility. I have some details that may help you plan your purchase!
Premier Passes are available through the
Disneyland mobile app up to seven days before your park visit, starting at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time. If you booked a
Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package, you'd be able to purchase the Premier Pass once your theme park tickets arrive, which typically happens two days before your visit.
I wouldn't recommend getting the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass first, as it's nonrefundable and can't be used to upgrade to the Premier Pass. If you still want to purchase it, you can use it alongside the Premier Pass when you visit.
When it's time to secure your Premier Pass, pull up the
Disneyland mobile app and make sure you're signed in. On the home screen, you should see a Premier Pass banner with a "Purchase" button. Alternatively, tap the icon with the three horizontal lines (≡), select "Lightning Lane Passes," and then tap "Purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass." Follow the prompts, and remember that you'll need a valid ticket and park reservation to purchase the pass.
My dad doesn't visit the Disneyland Resort often, so the last time he did, our whole family got the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and enjoyed a jam-packed day riding all the most popular attractions. It's nice being able to access shorter queues and spend less time in line. We got to the park early and started making arrival window selections right away. The main benefit of the
Premier Pass is that you don't need to worry about making those arrival window selections – you just get on the attraction whenever you'd like!
