    Hi Moms! Are there any preferred room views at Kidani Village? I'm bringing a 10yr old and want him to get the most out of the stay. I already have a Savanna View June 26th-July 7th. No guarantees but asking cant hurt. Thanks

    Kidani Village is my family’s absolute favorite Disney Vacation Club Resort. We love the overall atmosphere, and there is nothing better after a long day in the parks than coming home to the soft drumbeats and lantern light of Kidani Village.

    As you mentioned, room requests cannot be guaranteed, but you can certainly ask. I would recommend requesting a lower floor. I think this offers a better angle to really see the animals up close. There are two savannas at Kidani Village, Sunset Savanna and Pembe Savanna. The Pembe Savanna is the exclusive home of the okapi, a relation of the giraffe, and is only available to guests at Kidani Village. However, I prefer the Sunset Savanna which is shared with Jambo House. I find both the zebra and the giraffe fascinating to watch, and they truly make me feel as if I am on an African safari. Both these animals are seen on the Sunset Savannah.

    You and your young guest might want to check out animal viewing with night vision goggles. My school age sons love this activity. It is offered most nights by the fire pit on the Sunset Savanna Overlook. There is a Cast Member available for questions and it’s a really neat way to observe the animals. Check the daily activity board outside the library to see if it is offered during your stay.
