Hi Jennifer,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family is a bunch of foodies, and we try to maintain a pretty “
clean” lifestyle, so I understand wanting to continue that on your magical vacation. We’ve come up with a few tips that help our children eat healthy in the Parks, but I will warn you - we stop for
churros anytime, anywhere!
First off, there are plenty of fresh food options available in the Parks. Most of the
Quick-Service dining locations and kiosks have a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables ready to grab and go. Pay close attention to the pre-packaged ones, as some of them come with dips that might not be to your liking. We also make sure to pack a few of our family’s favorite snacks and bring them with us. That way you always have something on hand that you can eat.
Walt Disney World has the Snacks with Character brand, that includes Enjoy Life products. I’ve found these at
Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, as well as at
Anaheim Produce in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As always, the snack selection is subject to change, but healthy snack availability is the norm rather than the exception in the Parks. When it comes to
Table-Service locations, each of the Restaurants have healthy options for your family. If you have a specific dietary request, feel free to bring it to the attention of the Cast Members on arrival. The fantastic Disney chefs are often able to
accommodate particular food preferences.
Finally, my fellow panelist, Amy, has a
fantastic list of places to find healthy snacks throughout the Parks. I would add
Thirsty River Bar & Trek Snacks - their vegetables with hummus is a delicious must for us! Also, keep an eye out for the
Disney Check at your dining locations. It is the easiest way to spot healthy options for your family.
Jennifer, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. chEARs to a healthy vacation!
