Hi Stuart!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney and bringing us your question about Disneyland Resort hotels! I am a huge fan of the accommodations available to guests visiting the Disneyland Resort. Disneyland's flagship resort,
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa offers Guests the opportunity to enjoy California-inspired ambiance and decor. It is truly a grand experience, not to mention the ability to head into and out of the parks, due to the proximity of the resort to the entrance to the parks.
The Disneyland Hotel ambiance harkens back to the original lands of the parks, with towers and corresponding decor geared to Adventure, Fantasy, and Frontier lands. This resort boasts light-up Sleeping Beauty headboards, sure to be a hit with adults and kids alike. Last but certainly not least is
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, which invites guests to immerse themselves in the heyday of the California boardwalk, complete with two awesome rooftop pools! Stuart, Guests, like yourself, are welcome to book their Disneyland Resort stay for as many days as they wish, despite their park days. You can certainly book two nights at the resort while spending solely one day at the parks. This will give you one day to enjoy the amenities and ambiance of your resort of choice. Park access is solely required when heading into either Disneyland Park or Disney's California Adventure.
Stuart, I do hope I've been able to help you plan your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! Feel free to reach out to us again, should you have more Disneyland planning questions!
