Hi Susan,
Thanks for bringing this special question to us here at planDisney. Around here, we agree with Walt Disney, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” So, let’s see what we can dream up to help you make this special surprise come to life.
I think it is going to be fairly easy to keep the
Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour a surprise. As you are
booking your tour, after you have selected the date and time, you will be prompted to “Continue.” On the next screen, you will provide the Guest Info. Then, you will need to select Guests from your
Friends & Family list who will join you on the tour. For the Guest for whom you would like the tour to be a surprise, rather than selecting their existing account, scroll down and select “Add a New Guest.” You will be able to enter the Guest’s name without connecting the reservation to their
My Disney Experience account. You must make sure you use the Guest’s name since all experiences are nontransferable. You can set the Contact Info to your email address and phone number.
Susan, now one more step that you can try. If your “surprisee” already shares plans with you, on your My Disney Experience select “Friends & Family,” select “Edit” next to their name and change their “
Plan and Share” permission to "
View Only Shared Activities.” This will ensure that your reservation for the tour will not show on their My Disney Experience. Remember, theme park admission and a park reservation are required, but that shouldn’t spoil the surprise of the tour.
You are going to love Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour at
Magic Kingdom Park. I love it so much that I’ve experienced it twice! Even for the most seasoned Walt Disney World fan, there is always something new to learn and surprises to see. Be sure to bring all your questions with you as the Cast Members are incredibly knowledgeable and love to share all the hidden treasures of Magic Kingdom.
Susan, I hope this surprise is everything you dream it will be! If you have any other questions about this special vacation, please stop by and let me know.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
