Is it possible to reschedule a park reservation in the same week? I'm afraid of buying a one-day ticket in advance and not being able to go.

Welcome to planDisney, Pedro Paulo! Even spending just one day soaking in the magic of the Disneyland Resort can be just what is needed. (Especially since it looks like you’ll be visiting during Halloween Time!) I am happy to help you plan ahead, in case your schedule needs a little adjusting.

Theme park tickets can be rescheduled in the same week! The only caveats are that there must be reservations available for either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure and that you must reschedule by 11:59 p.m. the day before your original planned visit. My recommendation is that as soon as you learn that you may not be able to visit, you reschedule. That way you can be sure that reservations are available. (And avoid a late night scramble!)

To update a reservation, sign in to your MyDisney account and go to the My Plans section. From there, you’ll see your existing reservation with options to manage it. Select the date you want to change and follow the on-screen prompts to change or cancel it. Once your update is complete, you’ll receive a new confirmation email reflecting the changes. Once again, before finalizing anything, it’s always a good idea to check the theme park reservation availability calendar.

Also, it may be helpful to know that a one-day ticket is valid for visits from today through December 30, 2027, which gives you a wide window to reschedule if life throws a curveball your way. That flexibility makes it easier to plan around work schedules or even just the weather.

Pedro Paulo, I hope this helps you feel confident about visiting, knowing you still have options if plans change. If any other questions come up as you plan your visit, please stop by planDisney again. We’re always delighted to help you plan your Disneyland adventures.

    Have a magical day!
