Aaliyah from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Is it possible to renew your magic key earlier than 30 days? My family and I are planning a trip the week before thanksgiving and I’d like to renew so early so we are able to get reservations but my expiration date is October 27th.

Welcome to planDisney, Aaliyah, and congratulations on being a Magic Key holder at the Happiest Place on Earth. It sounds like you are putting that Magic Key to good use, so let's talk about how you can renew it and keep the enchantment alive.

I spoke with a Magic Key specialist, who said you could only renew your Magic Key at that 30-day mark and not before. The good news is that theme park availability looks open the week before Thanksgiving, so I'm optimistic you can book what you need for your upcoming visit. The Cast Member I spoke to advised renewing online as soon as your window opens because sometimes processing your payment can take a day or two. Keep an eye on the Theme Park Reservations page and book those parks as soon as possible! And if you have any questions, please call the Magic Key Holder line for help.

Your dates fall within the Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park, and I hope you can enjoy the Festive Foods Marketplace. You can celebrate different cultures by sampling holiday food from around the world. It makes my tumbly rumbly just thinking about it!
And as a Magic Key holder, you can get a discount on the Sip and Savor Pass during this festival. Remember to bring your pass and a valid ID for those discounts.

I hope your upcoming visit is magical and full of memories, Aaliyah. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
