Is it possible to purchase 2 regular park tickets and 1 park hopper ticket at the same time, so that we can get the discount for purchasing multiple tickets? I can't find the option to mix and match ticket types?

    Hiya, Janell!

Welcome back to planDisney.  Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. Oh boy! How exciting that you are planning for your upcoming Disney vacation in the fall.  It is one of my favorite times of year to visit because I love all of the festive decor and events throughout the theme parks.

Janell, I just looked into purchasing Theme Park Tickets for my family for our trip in March, and like you, I was looking at two-day Single Park tickets and a one-day Park Hopper ticket. So, I asked Guest Services if there was a way to mix and match ticket types and purchase the three tickets at the same time.

Unfortunately, you can only purchase a multi-day ticket for the same ticket category (in this case, either a three-day Single Park ticket or a three-day Park Hopper.) Otherwise, you have to do two transactions.  But the Cast Member told me it is actually CHEAPER to book a three-day Park Hopper ticket than it is to book a two-day Single Park ticket and a one-day Park Hopper ticket! I double-checked this for myself and as the pricing for March when I am visiting is almost identical to the pricing in October, I discovered this is indeed the case. Hot diggity dog!

So, if the wish that your heart makes is to have at least one Park Hopper ticket for your vacation, it will save you money to purchase the three-day Park Hopper. At this time, the discount for a three-day Park Hopper is a better deal than purchasing the two-day Single Park ticket and a single-day Park Hopper ticket for the time of year you are visiting. How's that for magic!

If you don't really need the Park Hopper, then it would be more economical to purchase a three-day Single Park ticket during your stay.  However, our family loves to spend the day at one park and enjoy dinner in another. So, with the three-day Park Hopper option, we are able to maximize the magic with a little extra pixie dust in our pockets!

While I'm sorry you can't mix and match the ticket types, I hope this information adds a bit of magic to your day.  If you would like to see more ways to save on your Disney vacation, check out the Special Offers page to see what is currently available.
