Welcome Home, Elizabeth!
I’m so glad you found the
Disney Vacation Club experts here on planDisney! You’ll be happy to hear that Disney Vacation Club’s
one-time-use Vacation Points are still available. These can be a great way to extend your vacation or make up a small deficit needed to book your trip. Simply call Member Services to purchase them and complete your reservation!
One-time-use Vacation Points do have some limitations, so it is best to know before you call. Currently, you can purchase up to 24 additional Vacation Points for each Use Year. These Vacation Points are nonrefundable, and cannot be banked, borrowed, or transferred. If you need to cancel or reschedule your stay booked with these Vacation Points, they will return to the Use Year you purchased them under, and will expire at the end of the Use Year. Additionally, you cannot purchase them until you are within the 7-month window, so they cannot be used during your Home Resort Priority Window.
While one-time-use Vacation Points are currently available, do know that the limitation of borrowed Vacation Points is still in effect. Currently, you cannot borrow more than 50% of your Vacation Points. At this time, Disney Vacation Club has not announced when this policy will change, but with the backlog of Vacation Points from canceled and postponed vacations, it may take some time for the system to balance out.
I hope this helps as you plan your trip, Elizabeth. I always enjoy talking about Disney Vacation Club with my fellow Members, so please feel free to submit any additional questions you have!
Wishing you
Membership Magic!- Kate
