Hi is it possible to park hop at animal kingdom and then magic kingdom with the guarantee of riding Tron? I plan on being at magic kingdom by 1-2 in the afternoon, and really want to ride tron.

Hi Michelle! It sounds like a day of park hopping awaits you! Park hopping is such a great way to experience more than one Disney Park in one “Disney day!”

All that you need to do is purchase a Park Hopper ticket and have a good strategy for beginning at one park and then hopping to the next park at the right time! I recommend beginning your day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Get there early! If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can take advantage of the Early Theme Park Entry benefit! I recommend experiencing Avatar Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and Festival of the Lion King!

Next, you’ll want to head out to the bus loop at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Hop on a bus headed to Magic Kingdom Park! I recommend being on the bus headed to Magic Kingdom Park no later than 12:00 (so leave the park a few minutes before 12:00). You’ll want to be “tapped in” to Magic Kingdom Park before 1:00. That’s very important because you’re going to try to gain entry to TRON Lightcycle / Run via the virtual queue. In order to get access to the ride at the 1:00 availability time, you will need to be tapped into the park by 1:00. Once you’re in the park, get onto your My Disney Experience app and try to grab a virtual queue boarding group as soon as 1:00 hits!

Michelle, that strategy should help you to meet all of your goals – Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom Park, and TRON Lightcycle / Run – all in one beautiful Disney day!

    Dreams do come true!
