Is it possible for a mom to come alone with 2 children ages 8 and 13? I plan on bringing my 2 children July'09.

    Absolutely!

I brought my 8 year old twins to WDW by myself just a few weeks ago. We had a completely fabulous time together. With a 13 year old, things should be even easier.

Most 8 year olds are tall enough to go on the vast majority of the rides that have height requirements, so you should not face awkward moments about one child wanting to go a thrill ride, while the other is not tall enough. My average-sized 8 year old girls were big enough for Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, and even Expedition Everest. Most of the attractions at WDW easily accommodate a party of 3. For example, Test Track cars seat 6 people. However, there are few rides that have 2-person vehicles. Toy Story Mania is an example of this. When I took my girls on this, I had them sit together in one car, while I rode in a car next to them. This worked out great.

I think your family trip sounds wonderful. You can call Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY to discuss pricing options for different hotels.
