Hi Matthew!
It's great to see you back with another question. It sounds like your planning is moving right along and I'm happy to help you tweak those final details as you prepare for your visit.
I love entering
EPCOT through International Gateway since crowds tend to be smaller and it puts me in closer proximity to all my favorite snacks and drinks in World Showcase. It's an added bonus to stroll around
Disney's BoardWalk and soak up the atmosphere at the start or end of a park day.
I had a similar itinerary planned just this past weekend when I met up with friends for breakfast at
Ale & Compass Restaurant at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort. I arrived at the resort via rideshare service and security waved our car through toward the lobby after checking our driver's credentials. In the past, I have had to show a dining reservation in order to be dropped off but that wasn't my experience on this particular visit. Keep in mind that entry will ultimately be up to Cast Member direction if you aren't a registered resort guest or have a dining reservation, but I'm hoping you won't have any issues.
Though both Disney's Beach and Yacht Club Resorts and Disney's BoardWalk Inn are within walking distance to International Gateway you'll also have the option of a jaunty cruise aboard the Friendship Boats from both resort locations. It's a quick ride but always a nice treat to sail toward your magical day and it will save you the short uphill walk toward the entrance. If you happen to be staying at a resort with
Disney Skyliner access you can also soar your way to the International Gateway entrance, too.
I hope this was helpful Matthew. Please stop back with more questions as you countdown to your trip!
Magic and memories,
Amy
